Terms of Service
Last updated: March 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Notumation ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Notumation ("we", "us", "our").
By connecting your Notion workspace, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in their entirety.
2. Service Description
Notumation is a Notion automation platform that enables you to build and execute automated workflows within your Notion workspace. The Service provides a visual flow builder, an automation execution engine, and a dashboard — all embedded directly within your Notion workspace.
The Service interacts with the Notion API to read and modify your workspace content as directed by the automations you configure. We act solely as a tool to execute the workflows you define.
3. Accounts
- Accounts are created exclusively through Notion OAuth authentication. We do not support standalone account registration.
- Each Notion workspace may have one Notumation account. Multiple accounts per workspace are not permitted.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs within your connected workspace through the Notumation Service, including actions taken by automations you configure.
- You represent and warrant that you have the authority to connect the Notion workspace to Notumation and to authorize the data access required by the Service. If you are connecting a workspace owned by an organization, you confirm that you have been authorized by that organization to do so.
4. Plans and Pricing
- Free tier: A free plan is available with limited features as described on our pricing page. The Free tier is subject to usage limits and feature restrictions that may change over time.
- Pro plan (€9/month): Includes enhanced features, higher execution limits, and extended log retention as described on our pricing page.
- Business plan (€19/month): Includes all Pro features plus team collaboration capabilities, priority support, and higher usage limits as described on our pricing page.
- Free trial: New accounts receive a 30-day free trial of Pro features. At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the Free tier unless you subscribe to a paid plan.
- Price changes: We reserve the right to modify our pricing. Any price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any changes take effect on their next billing cycle.
5. Billing
- All payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service.
- Paid plans are billed as monthly subscriptions. Your subscription fee is charged at the beginning of each billing period.
- No refunds are provided for partial months of service. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Notumation dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged for subsequent periods.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, harass, threaten, or abuse other users or any third party through automated or manual actions
- Deliberately overwhelm or abuse the Notion API beyond normal usage patterns, including creating automations designed to consume excessive API quota
- Store, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or any other malicious code through the Service or your Notion workspace
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Notumation Service or any part thereof
- Share your account access credentials or OAuth tokens with unauthorized users, or allow unauthorized access to the Service through your account
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
Violation of these acceptable use provisions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.
7. API Usage
- Your use of Notumation is subject to the Notion API's terms of service and rate limits. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Notumation complies with Notion's policies.
- We are not responsible for changes to the Notion API, Notion API downtime, rate limit modifications, or any other changes imposed by Notion that may affect the functionality of the Service.
- To protect your API quota and ensure reliable execution, we implement request queuing and rate limiting. This means automations may experience slight delays during periods of high usage. We optimize API calls to minimize quota consumption on your behalf.
8. Intellectual Property
- Your data and flows: You retain full ownership of all data in your Notion workspace and all automation flows you create using the Service. Your content is yours.
- Our service: Notumation, including all source code, algorithms, user interface designs, trademarks, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Notumation and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- Limited license: By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access your Notion workspace data solely for the purpose of providing the Service — that is, executing the automations you configure. This license terminates when you disconnect the Notion integration or delete your account.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Notumation shall not be liable for:
- Any data loss or corruption that occurs in your Notion workspace as a result of automation execution
- Missed, delayed, or failed automation executions for any reason
- Notion API failures, downtime, rate limiting, or changes that affect the Service
- Issues arising from third-party services, integrations, or dependencies
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the total fees you have paid to Notumation in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which liability is asserted.
While we do not guarantee uptime, we strive to maintain reliable service and will communicate any planned maintenance or known disruptions through the dashboard.
10. Termination
- By you: You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting the Notumation integration from your Notion workspace settings. No further action is required on your part.
- By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose a risk to the Service or other users. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination, except in cases of severe or repeated violations.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, your OAuth tokens and authentication data are
permanently deleted from our servers. All data stored in your Notion workspace (including flow configurations
and the
_Notumationdatabases) remains in your workspace and under your control. Any active paid subscription will be cancelled.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days advance notice through your Notumation dashboard before the changes take effect. Non-material changes (such as clarifications or formatting updates) may be made without advance notice.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before the changes take effect.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached through negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue the dispute through the appropriate legal channels in the jurisdiction of applicable law.
